The 30-Hour Broker Ethics/Agency course is one of three required components of New Jersey’s 150-hour broker licensing program, along with:

30-Hour Broker Office Management
90-Hour Basic Broker

Courses may be taken in any order, provided eligibility requirements are met.

Who This Course Is For?

This course is ideal for licensed real estate salespersons preparing to step into brokerage leadership and who want to strengthen their ability to lead ethically, supervise agency relationships, and uphold professional responsibility at the broker level.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to strengthen a broker’s ability to lead ethically, manage agency relationships, and uphold fiduciary responsibilities at the highest level.

Upon completion of the 30-Hour Broker Office Management course, students will be able to:

✅Interpret and apply agency relationships in real-world brokerage scenarios

✅Evaluate fiduciary duties owed to clients, consumers, and licensees

✅Identify and address ethical risks, conflicts of interest, and disclosure requirements

✅Apply ethical decision-making frameworks to brokerage supervision and leadership

✅Reinforce professional standards that protect the public, agents, and the brokerage

IMPORTANT BROKER COURSE DETAILS

REFUND POLICY
$150 of the 90 hour basic broker course registration fee is non-refundable.

$75 of the 30 hour broker office management course registration fee is non-refundable.

$75 of the 30 hour broker ethics/agency course registration fee is non-refundable.

After the 1st scheduled class, all fees are non-refundable. Students are required to confirm if the course fits within their schedule before registering. Students who register for a course, then need to take the course at a later date, have 6 months from initial registration to transfer to a new course schedule with Burgos Realty Academy. A $65 transfer fee will apply. Ask us about or download and review full school policies and NJ state requirements before you register.

COURSE TIME AND EXAMS
Students MUST attend 80% of the 30 hour and 90 hour course class times. After students pass the school final exam, in order to receive a broker real estate license in addition to the other state of New Jersey requirements, students will need to pass and schedule the State of New Jersey Real Estate Broker Licensing Exam.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY
Broker candidates must be licensed for 3 years before sitting for the NJ Broker real estate exam. It is the student's responsibility to confirm
(before registration) by review of the school policies and state license eligibility requirements if they would be eligible to receive a real estate broker license after they complete the requirements.

It is also the student's responsibility to confirm if this course is required as some broker candidates qualify for waivers through the NJ real estate commission.
